I’ve walked in your shoes

As someone who has worked outside the home while raising children, as well as someone who has stayed home full-time with children, I’ve walked in your shoes.  I’ve experienced the same confusions about how to juggle my own needs with the seemingly endless mommy duties of our generation.  And after a decade of working with parents, as well as raising my own three children, I firmly believe that it serves our highest good to continue, rather than deny, the development of our Self as we raise our kids.

Building expertise

After working for years as a child and family therapist, I wanted a fresh career where I could help mothers empower themselves to be the best they can be while enjoying their lives to the fullest.  As soon as I read about coaching, I knew it was for me.  I started writing my Balanced Mom ezine, began attracting clients, and listened to the voices of mothers who wanted a book to keep them focused on balance and personal growth.  Because I couldn’t find that book, I decided to write it and The Balanced Mom Raising Your Kids Without Losing Your Self came to fruition.  Today, I draw from all of my life experiences, as well as from an absolute passion for my work, to help you create the life you want to have.

Staying Open to Our Authentic Path

We all have innate strengths, talents and passions. If we live consciously, and stay open, we are able to connect with these gifts. Once we are in the flow of who we really are, life naturally becomes more refreshing and invigorating. For me, I knew I was on my authentic path when, first, I transitioned so easily into coaching. And, second, when the first publishing company accepted my proposal and I was able to meet their deadline four months later. You, too, have innate passions and strengths that can be transformed into meaningful work!

Committing to Balance

I believe that one-dimensional living- be it a hyperfocus on work, children or any other single area, is limiting.  I encourage true balance- one that allows for some time to breathe freely… think clearly…work…have fun…engage with others…enjoy solitude…create….exercise…and live fully, with joy and abundance.
